Empowering Independence Through Vision

SightLink is developing an innovative assistive wearable system that combines voice interaction, computer vision, and real-time guidance to help visually impaired and blind individuals navigate their surroundings with greater independence and confidence. Our smart glasses system captures real-time video, processes voice commands through AI, and provides immediate audio feedback, while also offering optional remote assistance from trusted contacts.

Currently in development - Building the future of accessible navigation

Sample Use Case

Scenario: Sarah walks into an unfamiliar office building for a job interview. She activates her SightLink glasses and says, "Where is the reception desk?" The camera captures the lobby, the AI processes the visual information, and within seconds, the speaker responds: "The reception desk is 15 feet ahead and slightly to your right. There's a person behind the counter who appears to be available to help." If Sarah needs additional assistance, she can enable remote sharing to connect with her sister, who can see the live video feed and provide additional guidance.

Why It Matters

Independence shouldn't be limited by vision. We're working to break down barriers and create new possibilities.

The Challenge

Over 285 million people worldwide are visually impaired, with many facing daily challenges in navigation and spatial awareness. Current solutions often require extensive training, are expensive, or still leave users dependent on others for guidance in unfamiliar environments.

Simple tasks like finding a specific room, identifying obstacles, or understanding the layout of a new space can become significant barriers to independence and confidence.

Our Impact

SightLink has the potential to transform daily experiences by providing immediate, intelligent assistance that adapts to any environment. Our system aims to reduce reliance on others while maintaining the option for human connection when desired.

By combining AI-powered analysis with optional remote assistance, we're creating a support network that enhances both independence and safety, giving users the confidence to explore new places and pursue opportunities without hesitation.
